St. Marks an Island of Tranquility in the midst of a World of Chaos

Greetings in the Name of the Lord! Forever may our lips Praise His Holy Name! My name is Ron. I have been coming to Saint Marks for close to a year now. Originally I came to Saint Marks because it is closer to where I live and being ill I found it just right for my spiritual needs. The first Sunday I came to worship the Lord, and that is the reason why we as Christians go to Church, it was a special day for me because you see, I am a Professional Astronomer and as I participated in worship Father Jim came to Eucharistic Prayer C which goes like this: "God of all power, Ruler of the Universe, you are worthy of glory and praise. At your command all things came to be: the vast expanse of interstellar space, galaxies, suns, the planets in their courses, and this fragile earth, our island home." It was as if the Lord was saying, "Welcome Ron, enter into the Joy of thy Lord" I came steadily with some exceptions and those being sick and really under the weather but when absent I would sit on my couch and worship so I was at Saint Marks in spirit so to speak. Saint Marks truly is an Island of Tranquility amidst a World of Chaos. You see, the World does know the Jesus we met, they are without hope, being without Christ. The Word of God says this, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 NKJV and Jesus backed up St. Paul’s words previously by saying, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father but by me" John 14: 6. NKJV. Outside of Christ the world is heading Hell bent towards destruction. Saint Marks calls out the words of Christ, " Come to me, all you who labor, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." St Matthew 11:28-30. You see, the people of the city of Leominster who are without the Christ we worship have nothing to look forward to without the Lord in their lives. We need to ask the Lord, "Lord, give us a burden for souls. The Lord is not willing that any should perish. Father tells us at the end of MASS that "We are to seek the face of Jesus in everyone we meet and praying that everyone we meet will see the face of Jesus in us. Invite one friend to Saint Marks when the opportunity rises, develop that burden for the souls of humanity and then some day you will hear from this Jesus we love the words "Well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord". Being an Astronomer one of my favorite texts is Psalm 19: 1-4. "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the Earth, and their words to the end of the world." If people could have had the privilege of seeing what I have seen beyond "Earth, our Island Home and I am talking to Christians, they would stand in awe before the Holy Table of the Lord and cry out in their hearts, "Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD of Hosts". Saints Marks is stretching out her arms to the city of Leominster and all those who are without Christ. It is indeed an Island of Tranquility amidst a World of Chaos.

God Bless Saint Marks.
