Everyone is welcome to worship at St. Mark’s. On Sunday’s we worship at 8am and 10am. Our 10am service is live streamed on Facebook.
We are currently worshiping in our parish hall while our lift is under reconstruction. Our worship is fully accessible.
At 8am we follow the Prayer Book using Rite I. At 10am we sing and follow Rite II. You can follow the words of the service with the bulletin posted below, or on the screen projected in church.
Worship at St. Mark’s
If this is your first time at an Episcopal Church, or even in a Christian Church, please know how welcome you are.
Episcopal worship is liturgical. That means there are specific rituals and prayers with which Episcopalians follow. This connects local worship with worship across the world through the Worldwide Anglican Communion. Episcopalians, stand, kneel, sing and sit at specific times during worship. Episcopalians pray and sing some words from memory, others are read from the Book of Common Prayer or a hymnal.
Don’t worry if you don’t know when to move or are not able to move easily. At St. Mark’s everyone is invited to move in body or spirit. Furthermore, every worshiping member has had a day that they have not remembered what prayer comes next. Feel free to sit, kneel, or stand letting the words of communal prayer and song lead your heart and soul in worship. You may ask a person sitting near you for guidance; St. Mark’s members are always happy to welcome new worshipers.
